Cannon Beach Arts Association is a stroll from Haystack Rock, a beautiful sea life marine preserve. You will learn the about linoleum block printing and how to apply it to paper. During low tide at Haystack Rock, we will absorb information about texture through our senses about the intertidal sea life and/or birds. Back at the classroom, you will create a Linoleum block print using your new inspiration of the sea life at Haystack Rock

Brianna Ortega is a multidisciplinary contemporary artist and surfer. She holds an honors B.A. in Art Practices from Portland State University, and has shown her work at art spaces and museums in Portland, San Diego, and Italy. Her work focuses on connecting ideas of belonging, discomfort, and the ocean. She is passionate about bringing people of varying disciplines together to think and create art in new ways. You can also find her working at Haystack Rock Awareness Program in Cannon Beach, both educating others about the ocean and learning new things every day.
