Cannon Beach Arts Association is accepting applications for our Internship Program. The internship will begin October 15 and run through the end of March of 2018 with the possibility of extending the position with additional grant funding. We are seeking an intern interested in marketing and arts education. Activities will include maintaining the Gallery’s social media presence, website, and other online activities as well as assisting with our Arts Education Program.
Candidates should have good interpersonal skills, and well-developed communication skills, as well as enjoy research and writing, be detail-oriented, and be able to work independently. Most importantly, candidates should have a interest in the arts, specifically visual arts, and marketing. Computer literacy and a strong understanding of social media is very important. Candidates must be a working artist and may either be a graduate of a degree program, or be currently enrolled as a student, or exemplify a passion for the arts and arts education as demonstrated through work experience and personal portfolio development. Preferred areas of study: Visual Arts, Arts Administration, Arts Education, or related field. Candidates must be residents of Clatsop or Tillamook County.
Hours and Remuneration
- 15 to 20 hours per week with one day per week required in the gallery.
- Some occasional hours based around events.
- $12 per hour.
