2017 Scholarship

The 2017 High School Scholarships have been awarded! This year we are offering scholarships to two individuals; Kara Ipson and Hayley Rollins.

Kara Ipson is a senior and recipient of CBAA scholarship. She plans on attending University of Oregon and majoring in graphic design and marketing. Her favorite art medium is water color and graphite.

Hayley Rollins is a sophomore, who organized the Art Day at Seaside High School for the 2nd year. She helped pass the bill the wrote making April 14th Honorary Artist of Oregon Day. Many of the CBAA member artists and docents teach workshops at the Art Day.

The Cannon Beach Arts Association also awarded 10 $25 sponsorships to local high school students through the Seagull Pride in the Cannon Beach Gazette publication.

Our Seaside High School scholarship is open to students who have taken more than one art class at the high school level, have shown a strong interest in the arts, and submit a portfolio and statement of interest either directly or through a school counselor. Award amounts vary annually based upon budget and number of applicants.
