There is still time to purchase a great art work from our Imagine That show. Your purchase will support the Cannon Beach Arts Association’s programs, which include our exhibition program, high school scholarships, summer internship, summer art camp and our individual artist grant. The works in this show were created by artists across our region for the purpose of this fund raising event. Here are a few of our favorites that are still available.
Cannon Beach Arts Association announces its annual Individual Artist Grant for 2015-2016. The grant amount is $4000 and will be awarded to a local artist working in fine art, film media, craft, literary endeavors, music or theater to provide the support necessary to expand the artist’s creative process. It is also the intent to encourage a wider art audience and quality art experiences within the community. The artist must provide a return to the community by means of a temporary exhibit, performance, community education, publication, or other means as specified in the proposal.
The Individual Artist Grant is open to visual artists, writers, performers and musicians showing serious intent and working to produce original material. Artists must be part of the Cannon Beach community, producing or actively exhibiting or performing within the city, or document short-term residence for the duration of the project proposed. Note that the Cannon Beach community includes Cannon Beach, Tolovana Park and Arch Cape.
For a complete application and a list of past recipients stop at the Cannon Beach Arts Association Gallery or visit our Individual Artist Grant page. You can also call at 503-436-0744 or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
